Fisheries Biologist and Outreach Coordinator
The Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska is recruiting a Fisheries Biologist and Outreach Coordinator to lead the development of the Tribe’s Fisheries program, including designing and conducting field data collection, collaborating with partner agencies and organizations, creating outreach programs and materials, and seeking funding opportunities for future project and program development. The Fisheries Biologist will be responsible for building and maintaining a Fisheries program within Qawalangin Tribe and will oversee all funded projects within the department as well as supervise seasonal technician and any applicable interns. Solid Waste Coordinator and Tribal Lands Assistant
The Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska is recruiting a Solid Waste Coordinator and Tribal Lands Assistant to take the lead in developing the Tribe’s solid waste management efforts on Unalaska and to assist the Tribal Lands program with field work efforts and special programmatic tasks. The Solid Waste Coordinator will collaborate with partner agencies and organizations to support backhaul, recycling, and waste reduction efforts for the community. The Tribal Lands Assistant will be the first responder to document military impacts and other environmental issues to support mitigation of these impacts on Unalaska, Amaknak, and Hog islands.
